I’m Debbie Unsworth — I’m 56 years old, a proud mum to one incredible son, and a passionate animal lover with a heart full of stories, purpose, and paws! 🐾
I’ve spent much of my life working closely with animals, especially dogs. Over the years, I’ve founded and supported several animal rescue charities, focusing on giving stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at life. My home in Bournemouth has become a sanctuary not just for them, but for me as well. It’s a warm, happy place filled with wagging tails, muddy paws, and unconditional love — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
From the RAF to the Skies of Today
Before dedicating myself to animal rescue and consulting, I proudly served in the Royal Air Force. Those years were some of the most formative of my life, filled with discipline, camaraderie, and experiences that shaped the woman I am today. I carry those lessons with me every day.
Now, I work as an aviation consultant, collaborating with industry leaders such as Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer. My work takes me across the world — from busy meetings in New York to technical sessions in Switzerland — but no matter where I land, Bournemouth is always home. ✈️🌍
My Life with Animals
Helping animals is more than a job — it’s my calling. I’ve seen first-hand the cruelty and neglect many strays suffer, and I’ve made it my mission to offer them safety, care, and love. Whether it’s coordinating rescue missions, managing shelters, or simply providing a warm bed and a hug to a scared pup, I believe every dog deserves a chance to feel at home.
My house might be a little fur-covered and full of chew toys, but it’s a place where broken hearts heal — and not just the dogs’. 🐶💛
A Little More About Me
Life hasn’t always been easy. I recently lost my beloved dad, and that loss has left a quiet space in my heart. But I’ve found strength in my closeness with my wonderful mum, in my dogs, and in the simple, grounding routines of everyday life. Whether I’m out in the garden with my hands in the soil, strolling through nature trails with my furry companions, or curled up with a good book or film, I find peace in life’s little joys.
